Under general supervision, Our Facilities Maintenance Coordinator performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of ministry facilities; performs plumbing, carpentry, electrical, remodeling, painting, and a variety of other related craft work as assigned; operates a variety of maintenance equipment including hand, power, shop tools, etc. and to do related work as required. Nature of work requires sustained physical effort involving continuous light work and occasional heavy work in moving or lifting furniture and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Every Home for Christ. 
• Adheres to the Biblical standards of moral conduct, EHC vision statement, EHC statement of faith, EHC’s Employee standards and policies, EHC’s Covenant of Harmony and upholds Every Home for Christ’s ministry in prayer.
• Oversee building systems by monitoring automated building systems and regular visual inspections
• Maintain the building and property by completing work requests that are generated by staff and by regular site inspections. Taking initiative on trouble shooting the issues and implementing the best practice solution.
• Responsible for managing vendor relationships as it pertains to building maintenance, safety and security; Administers contracts (e.g. house cleaning, landscaping, vending, HVAC maintenance, security/fire, etc.) to assure that Every Home for Christ is receiving the professional services agreed upon in the contract. 
• Establishes and monitors vendor performance, measures goals, objectives and priorities in order to provide efficient and effective services using management principles/practices
• Create and maintain regular maintenance schedules and systems to keep all facilities equipment fully functional and safe.
• In collaboration with Site Ops Director, maintain all ministry properties and facilities in a proactive way, ensuring all systems/structures/etc are in excellent working condition and have longevity for the ministry
• Maintain a safe working environment for team and others 
• Provide constant monitoring of property and building facilities
• Attend and pass all continuing education classes and trainings associated with security and maintenance.
• Responsible for staying current with public ADA and OSHA regulations and communicating with supervisor as necessary
• Responsible for and assists with set up for various functions within the Jericho Center
• Acts as backup for various team member positions
• Performs other responsibilities as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

• Has an active personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Attends and participates in a local church
• Education: Associate’s Degree or Trade school graduate OR additional years of on the job experience in lieu of formal education
• Experience: 3-5 years of related experience or must possess the following in training/experience – Electrical: 200 hours; HVAC: 150 hours; Plumbing: 200 hours
• Certifications/Licensing: be willing to complete EHC security certification; valid driver’s license with a clean record; maintenance related certifications are a plus

• Demonstrate expert knowledge of laws, codes, regulations and building and safety codes relating to construction and/or maintenance of buildings. (e.g. Uniform Building Code, Uniform Mechanical Code, OSHA Standards)
• Firm understanding and ability to perform, maintain, and/or install plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall repair 
• Ability to be flexible in responding to changing priorities/needs
• Effectively communicate in writing and orally in a positive and productive manner with managers, peers, subordinate employees, vendors, users, and the general public
• Maintain accurate and current knowledge of specialized building systems, principles/practices of construction/maintenance of buildings
• Maintain and execute facility policies/procedures
• Demonstrate the ability to manage various projects at one time

Other Position Requirements:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm; Must be available for after hours/weekend on call times when necessary
• Working Environment: various – indoor/outdoor; various weather conditions/indoor conditions; ability to be on-call when needed/requested; various-occasional wet/humid condition, near or working with mechanical parts, high/precarious locations, near toxic/caustic chemical; , noise levels that will occasionally exceed 85 decibels, working with and around potentially dangerous tools associated with the job
• Physical Demands: ability to constantly stand/walk/sit/reach/stoop/kneel/use hands/fingers; climb ladders; crawl under desks or other obstacles; must be able to lift 50-100 lbs on a regular basis; local driving
